A 49-year-old Waipahu man who allegedly choked a 6-year-old boy with his forearm was arrested Saturday night on suspicion of abuse of a household member, police said.
The man restricted the boy's breathing while he allegedly choked him at 4 p.m. Saturday, police said.
The suspect fled before police arrived but was later arrested at 9:20 p.m. Saturday, police said.
