200 Kaneohe Marines heading out for training in Australia

About 200 Marines and sailors from Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, are scheduled to leave Marine Corps Base Hawaii today for a six-month deployment to Darwin, Australia.

“They’ll be working with our Australian allies to further their training on world-class ranges,” said Marine Corps Base Hawaii spokeswoman 1st. Lt. Diann Olson.

Olson said the unit has been “consistently deployed” to Afghanistan over the last several years.
