Kailua man accused of threatening acquaintance with machete

A 38-year-old Kailua man was in police custody after allegedly threatening an acquaintance with a machete in Kailua. 

Police said the suspect threatened a 64-year-old man for no apparent reason at about 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Officers found the suspect about half an hour later and booked him for investigation of first-degree terroristic threatening.
