Another man stabbed outside of Mayor Wright Homes

By Star-Advertiser staff

LAST UPDATED: 01:36 a.m. HST, Apr 23, 2012

A 34-year-old man suffered serious injuries early Sunday morning when he was stabbed by an unknown man outside of Mayor Wright Homes, where another stabbing Thursday morning left a man in serious condition.

Sunday's stabbing occurred outside of Mayor Wright Homes before 3 a.m., police said. The unknown suspect used a "dangerous weapon" then fled on foot, police said.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital.

Police called Thursday's stabbing of a man who had just parked his car in front of the public housing complex an "unprovoked attack" that left the victim with two stab wounds to his cheek and two stab wounds to his shoulder blade.

It occurred just before 2 a.m., police said.

On Jan. 27, a 32-year-old man died from stab wounds and three others were seriously injured.

On Sept. 10, 2011, police arrested 21-year-old Takson Krstoth for the fatal stabbing of TJ "Tipuk" Mori, 24, after an argument at the complex. Krstoth is awaiting trial after being charged with second-degree murder.

The Public Housing Authority hired Matt Levi Security to provide security at the complex beginning last month.

The story says the security was hired on March 1, 2012. Is the security 24 hours?

But isn't the areas surrounding MWH not under the jurisdiction of Matt Levi Security? I've noticed they are continuing to erect taller fence posts on the Vineyard side of MWH in efforts to deter outsiders from entering the premises--so it appears they are making an effort to contain the violence.

Outlaw all metal knives in public housing... All residents are now issued one plastic spoon per person each month. Not only are these residents leaches, they go around killing each other!

The Mayor Wright Housing Development has some very serious problems and those issues need to be Addressed with the "Gloves Off". If not, it will only get Fatally Worse. It is obvious that there may be some Elements within the Complex, that is carrying over to the outside. My Hat continues to go out to HPD and all that they attempt to accomplish. However, this problem with Mayor Wright may require an outside Agency to make serious inquiries inside with the residents. I pray for the law abiding residents, and those that want a safe place for their families to live.

I feel so foolish. I was the guy blasting Mizuno for not supporting the drug testing for residents there. Now, I see his master plan. Smart like a fox, that Mizuno.

It's a good thing these low lifes cannot afford to buy a gun or we would have shootings instead of stabbings.

Security is being paid for security only in the inside of the housing complex. It's unfair to accuse them of not doing their jobs.

Too bad all this problem occur between the micronesian people. They should all be sent back to their island, that would help some of our housing problems! I don't understand how the Hawaii Housing allow so much of them to live in one unit! They only suppose to have maybe a family of four or five in one unit, but they have like ten to fifteen people there! The state should open their eye's and start enforcing the rules not just on us local people; put on these people too!!!
