Rainbows beat Grambling State 11-8

Hawaii allowed five runs in the first inning before scoring eight in the third to eventually beat Grambling State 11-8 on Tuesday in a nonconference game at Wilbert Ellis Park in Grambling, La.

The Rainbows improved to 24-16 overall, winning for the 10th time in their last 14 games.

Ty Pedretti hit the go-ahead two-run single in the third inning.

Hawaii will finish a seven-game road trip with three games at Louisiana Tech beginning Thursday.

The Rainbows are 4-2 in Western Athletic Conference play while the Bulldogs are last in the league at 1-8.
