Man arrested for allegedly shoplifting food and other items at Kapolei Walmart

A 47-year-old Waipahu man was arrested Tuesday after he shoplifted food, kitchenware, and sports equipment from the new Walmart in Kapolei, police said.

When security stopped the man, he allegedly tried to throw away illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Officers arrested the man at the Farrington Highway store at 10:50 p.m. for investigation of theft and two drug offenses.
