Police arrested a Nanakuli man who stole a woman's car and telephone in Waianae earlier this week.

The victim, 33, reported that a man confronted her and demanded her car keys about 6 a.m. Tuesday. When she refused, the man held her down and then grabbed the keys and her cellular telephone, and then drove away, police said.

The suspect, 36, was identified and arrested on Huli Street in Waimanalo about 4:30 p.m. Thursday. He is being held pending a charge of second-degree robbery.
