Mo-ped rider critically hurt in Waianae

A mo-ped rider was critically injured in a crash Sunday in Waianae.
Police said the crash happened shortly before 3 p.m. on Paakea Road.
An Emergency Medical Services supervisor said the man, who is in his 40s, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police did not immediately release details of the crash, but dispatch radio reports said the incident involved an SUV and the mo-ped.
