A Wahiawa man stopped by police for jaywalking in Waikiki Monday morning was later arrested for allegedly stealing a Honolulu Police Department bicycle.

Police said an HPD officer parked his bicycle in the lobby of an Ala Moana Boulevard building and went inside. When he returned, the bike was gone, police said.

Another officer located the suspect, 28, jaywalking nearby while with the bicycle at Ala Moana Boulevard and Holomoana Street a short time later and arrested him.
