Crime Reduction Unit officers capture alleged purse thief on North Shore

Police caught an alleged purse thief who allegedly grabbed a 20-year-old woman's purse from Sunset Beach on the North Shore Monday afternoon.
Witnesses called police at about 1:15 p.m. and Crime Reduction Unit officers who responded, located the suspect nearby.
Police said the suspect was identified in the field and arrested for investigation of theft and unauthorized possession of confidential personal information.
