Man allegedly punched, robbed of sword by acquaintance at Kahuku park

A 20-year-old man allegedly punched an 18-year-old man he was meeting at a Kahuku park Saturday afternoon, then allegedly wrestled away the younger man's sword, police said.

The punch allegedly occurred at 12:30 p.m. and the suspect was later found and arrested for investigation of second-degree robbery at 9:26 p.m., police said.

The victim and suspect are acquaintances, police said. The 18-year-old man was waiting for the older man at the park when the 20-year-old showed up and punched him without provocation, police said. 

After a brief struggle, the suspect wrestled away a sword that the younger man had recently bought, police said. 

The suspect fled on foot was later located and identified by the victim, police said.
