Firefighters rescue hiker from Lanikai trail

Firefighters rescued a hiker Saturday morning who possibly broke his ankle while hiking above Lanikai.
The man was hurt on a trail near the pill boxes about 8:30 a.m., said Honolulu fire Capt. James Todd.
Firefighters hiked up to the man and prepared him for a fire helicopter that picked him up and took him to Lanikai Community Park. Firefighters transferred the man to paramedics, who took him to the hospital about 9:30 a.m.
