Police today arrested a 26-year-old Waianae man who allegedly applied for credit cards in the name of an elderly man he was hired to care for.
Police said the elderly man's son hired the younger man to care for his 87-year-old father. The son discovered on Monday that the caregiver allegedly applied for and got several credit cards in his father's name and allegedly made fraudulent charges on the cards.
Police arrested the 26-year-old on suspicion of credit card theft and unauthorized possession of confidential personal information.
