Water service restored to Kalihi customers as repairs completed

Water service has been restored to 24 customers in Kalihi after Board of Water Supply crews completed repairs to an 6-inch water main on Pua Lane near the North Vineyard Boulevard intersection, the agency said.
Water service was restored about 2 a.m. today. The far left westbound lane of North Vineyard Boulevard near the Pua Lane intersection remained closed until 5:15 a.m. as crews filled the hole and repaired the roadway.
The break was reported just before 5 p.m. Tuesday. It prompted the closure of the two left westbound lanes of North Vineyard Boulevard near the Pua Lane intersection.
A water wagon was set up to provide water to affected customers.
