By Star-Advertiser staff

A 26-year-old Waianae man was being held by police after he allegedly broke the jaw of another man last month.

The 33-year-old victim and a woman were leaving an establishment at 2:30 a.m. May 5 when the suspect approached victim’s girlfriend and asked to speak to the victim, who was sitting in a parked car, police said.

The victim got out of his car and was punched on the left side of his face by the suspect.

The victim suffered two fractures to his lower jaw, police said.

Police said the suspect was identified in a photographic lineup and arrested at his home on Tuesday.
