Man arrested for allegedly attacking taxicab driver in McCully

A 22-year-old man allegedly attacked a taxicab driver in McCully early Thursday morning.

Police said the man allegedly choked and punched the driver in his cab at 12:10 a.m. for no apparent reason.

Witnesses came to the taxi driver's aid and held the suspect until police could arrive.

Police arrested the man on suspicion of interference of a public transit vehicle and two counts of harassment of police officers.
