Kalanianaole Highway reopens after accident

Honolulu police reopened Kalanianaole Highway near the Lanai Lookout this morning following a possible head-on collision.
Police closed the highway for about a half hour at about 10:30 a.m. so the vehicles involved could be removed.
A Fire Department spokesman said no one involved in the crash was pinned between the vehicles or had to be removed by the department.
An Emergency Medical Services supervisor said at the time she was unsure whether anyone would be transferred to receive care.
