Motorcyclist hurt in crash on Kaukohahua Road

A motorcyclist lost control while taking a wide turn this afternoon and crashed into an embankment, hitting a sign post, the Honolulu Fire Department reported.
The man, in his 30s, was headed toward Wahiawa on Kaukonahua Road near Wilikina Drive around 12:45 p.m. when the crash occurred, a department spokesman said.
He was taken to the Queen’s Medical Center in serious condition with head injuries and a compound fracture to his arm, the spokesman said. He was wearing a helmet.
