Police seek man in knife attack on woman jogger near Kailua High

Police are looking for a man who attacked a woman jogger with a knife Friday in an apparent kidnapping near Kailua High School.
The 25-year-old woman told police she was running in the back gate area of the school on Akiahala Street about 8 p.m. when the unknown man accosted her.
The man pinned the woman against the fence, then cut both of her cheeks with a knife and burned her face with a cigarette, police said.
The woman was able to run away from the man and reported the attack from her home.
Police described the man as 5 feet 7 inches tall, 180 to 220 pounds, with an average build and dressed in black clothing.
