Police captured a 33-year-old man who allegedly carjacked another man at gunpoint Wednesday in Mililani.

The victim, a 24-year-old man, told police he was getting into his parked car about 1:30 a.m. when he was approached by two unknown men in their 30s and told to get out by one man who was holding a handgun. The victim complied and the two men left in the victim’s vehicle.

About an hour later, patrol officers spotted the vehicle in a nearby neighborhood and stopped the driver, a 33-year-old man who was identified as the robber with the handgun. Officers arrested him for investigation of first-degree robbery. The second man remained at large.

Police said the victim later declined to prosecute and the 33-year-old man was released without charges.
