Police capture suspect who allegedly fired a gun at Ala Moana

By Star-Advertiser staff

Police arrested a 26-year-old Makakilo man who allegedly fired a gun into the air this morning during a brawl at Ala Moana Center.

Witnesses told responding officers that someone fired a gun into the air during the fight and that a man with a handgun was seen taking off in a vehicle.

Using witness descriptions of the man and his license plate number, patrol officers spotted the vehicle about 15 minutes later.

Officers stopped the vehicle at the Houghtailing offramp on the H-1 Freeway and arrested the driver for investigation of a firearms offense.

Aw, c'mon. This is the SA. You expect such trivial details? BTW, this was in yesterday's "breaking" news. You'd think they could've come up with a few more facts since then.

Finally an article where the SA correctly uses the word "allegedly". You gotta laugh when they print stuff like "bus driver allegedly crashes into wall at Kawaihau Church".
