By Star-Advertiser staff

POSTED:

China-based ET Solar Group Corp. has delivered 7.2 Megawatt photovoltaic modules to national electrical contractor Helix Electric for a utility project on Kauai.

It is the largest photovoltaic installation on the island to date, according to a statement from ET.

The modules will produce power for the Port Allen Solar Farm, owned by Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Co., a subsidiary of Alexander & Baldwin. Power generated at the plant will be sold to the Kauai Island Utility Cooperative under a 20-year agreement.
