The owners of a Kalihi Valley mom-and-pop store were assaulted with sticks and robbed by three men in their 20s Monday night, police said.

A woman, 56, was taken to an area hospital in fair condition. A man, 63, was treated at the scene and released following the 9 p.m. incident at the Kalihi Street market, according to a spokesman for the city Department of Emergency Services.

The robbery occurred at Ono’s Market at 1912 Kalihi St.

Police said the three men entered the store, assaulted the two owners with sticks, took cash and other merchandise, and then fled on foot.
