There will be no public camping this weekend nor the last weekend of the month at Bellows Beach Park due to Rim of the Pacific military exercises.
The city Department of Parks and Recreation today announced that due to the biennial RIMPAC maritime exercise, camping permits are not being issued for the weekends of July 13 to 15, and July 27 to 29.
“Residents and visitors are also advised that day use of the park, including swimming and picnicking, will not be allowed during the RIMPAC exercises due to public safety concerns,” the city said in a press release.
The city will be issuing camping permits for Bellowsfor the weekend of July 20 to 22.
