Gas leak at UH leads to evacuations

All-clear notice issued 13 minutes later

A gas leak led to the evacuation of three buildings on the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus on Thursday.

The evacuation affected faculty, staff and students in Bilger Hall and Bilger Addition, the Physical Science Building and Keller Hall.

A campus-wide alert, issued at 12:22 p.m., reported that the Gas Company and Honolulu Fire Department were on the scene. An all-clear notice was issued at 12:35 p.m. and the buildings were reopened for normal use.
