Verizon expands high-speed service

Verizon Wireless will expand its 4G Long Term Evolution network on Oahu, Maui, Molokai, Lanai and Hawaii island in the coming weeks.

The expansion will bring upgraded service to customers in Iwilei, Kapahulu, Kualoa Point, Mapunapuna, Sand Island and Waipahu on Oahu; Haiku and Paia on Maui; Hoolehua Airport on Molokai; and Lanai City and the Manele Bay Resort on Lanai.

On Hawaii island, upgraded service is coming to Glenwood, Papaikou, Pepeekeo, Volcano and Waimea, according to a Verizon announcement.
