Boy, 13, allegedly assaults sister when she would not clean his room

By Star-Advertier staff

A 13-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly assaulted his 11-year-old sister when she ignored his order to clean his room in Waipahu.

Police said the boy got a knife and threatened his sister about 10 a.m. when she did not respond to his order.

The girl then went into her brother's room and lay down, and the boy assaulted her, police said.

He was arrested for investigation of first-degree terroristic threatening and abuse.

Exactly. No parental supervision or proper discipline. You know what you gotta do. No, seriously, spanking is not the way. It only promulgates the idea that physical assault solves problems. Children learn from example. Take away priviliges and ground them. And be sure to follow through with what you SAY every time.

Until then, looks like he'll wreak havoc in the public schools. Taking away the efforts of teachers attempting to help those kids who want to learn.

You should hear the animals that live next door to me. The father and son call the girls in their family the "C" and "B" words. The "F" word is routinely used even at a little 4 year old girl. What has happened to society? I am glad that I was raised in a family where those kinds of words were not heard. I never heard my dad, my brothers or uncles ever use that type of language. For Pete's sake, even women let that sort of trash pass from their lips.

Sad, society has fallen down to this level where kinfolks are beating up each other or as you indicate name calling using foul language. Maybe, "free speech", and self expression without restrains needs to be re-addressed. Our "permissive society" movement may be the root cause of the breakdown on how which should treat each other. Family values are lacking in modern society.
