Man taken to hospital in critical condition after being found on Windward beach

A man in his 70s was taken in critical condition to a hospital from a beach between Punaluu and Hauula.
Honolulu fire Capt. Terry Seelig said firefighters responded to a report of an unresponsive man Thursday and found him lying on the beach in the area where the tide washes up about 12:40 p.m.
Firefighters began CPR and helped paramedics transport the man to the hospital. An Emergency Medical Services supervisor said the man was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police said the man was revived and taken to Kahuku Medical Center.
