POSTED:

The cause of a fire that destroyed a Waianae home Saturday night was deemed undetermined today by Honolulu Fire Department investigators, a department spokesman said.

The investigation was concluded around 1 p.m. today, Capt. James Todd said.

Three people, a husband and wife in their 50s and a woman in her 80s, were displaced and Todd said the house is a "total loss.”

Firefighters responded at 7:10 p.m. Saturday to the fire in a single-story, 4-bedroom home at 86-236 Puhawai Road, he said.

Damage is estimated at $370,000, and the Red Cross is assisting the three residents.
