Car robbery suspects arrested

By Star-Advertiser staff

POSTED:

An all-points bulletin led to the arrest of two robbery suspects, who allegedly stole a car and money from a man in Waipio.

Police said the 57-year-old victim agreed to meet one of the  suspects, a 25-year-old Kapolei man, in Waipio. The second suspect, a 47-year-old Wahiawa man, then climbed into the backseat of the victim’s car and demanded money.

The two suspects forced the 57-year-old out of his car and drove off with it.

Officers stopped the vehicle at Paiwa Street and the Waikele on-ramp to the Ewa-bound H-1 Freeway Wednesday afternoon.

Officers arrested the Wahiawa man at about 2:45 p.m. for suspicion of first-degree robbery, and two drug violations. The Kapolei man was arrested for investigation of car theft and first-degree robbery.
