Man, 43, arrested for allegedly attempting to strangle ex-girlfriend in Kalihi

A 43-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly attempting to strangle a former live-in girlfriend earlier this month.
Police said that the man, of no local address, attempted to strangle the woman, 34, in Kalihi about 4:45 pm. on Aug. 12.
He was arrested about 9:40 a.m.Tuesday at the main police station on South Beretania Street for investigation of abuse of a household member.
