Two men are in custody after police were called to Kahuku Wednesday afternoon to break up a fight.

A 28-year-old Hauula man was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer who was trying to break up a fight. The suspect was treated for minor injuries at a hospital. He also faces a charge of disorderly conduct.

Also arrested during the same incident was a 22-year-old Haleiwa man who challenged  a 17-year-old youth to a fight. However, police said the older suspect responded by drawing “a dangerous instrument,” threatening his challenger. The 22-year-old suspect fled, but was located a few blocks away and was arrested.
