Power has been restored to the University of Manoa campus, according to the university.

An electrical outage on Monday that began around 5:15 p.m. knocked out power to 13 buildings on campus, prompting UH officials to cancel evening classes in the buildings.

In an email update at 6:05 p.m., UH reported that power had been restored to some buildings “but on an intermittent basis.”

Power was fully restored by about 7:30 p.m.

A spokesman for the Hawaiian Electric Company said the outage, which affecting the greater Moiliili area, was resolved around 6 p.m.

UH is cautioning people not to use elevators in the affected buildings.
