Police arrested two teenage boys for allegedly threatening to kill a 55-year-old Department of Education employee in Kalihi.
Police said the DOE employee confronted the boys, ages 14 and 16, and asked them for identification.
The boys became agitated, police said, and allegedly challenged the man to a fight, saying they were allegedly going to kill him.
The employee called for backup and both teens were restrained.
When police arrived, they arrested the two on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening. They were later released pending investigation.
