Waianae man used ceramic dishes to assault girlfriend, police say

A 30-year-old Waianae man faces criminal charges after he threw ceramic dishes at his girlfriend, causing a cut that needed stitches.
Police said the pair were arguing on July 23 when the suspect began throwing ceramic dishes at his girlfriend. Police said one of the dishes hit the arm of the 18-year-old woman causing a deep laceration.
The suspect was arrested Thursday on suspicion second-degree assault.
