Kalihi man allegedly keeps girlfriend captive for a day

A 35-year-old Kalihi man is accused of abusing his girlfriend and preventing her from leaving her apartment for a day last weekend.
Police said the alleged kidnapping occurred on Aug. 25.
The suspect again allegedly abused the 29-year-old woman Tuesday night.
He was arrested at his Kalihi home on suspicion of kidnapping and two counts of abuse of a household member.
