Obama says he's a 'huge Clint Eastwood fan'

By Associated Press

POSTED:

WASHINGTON >>  President Barack Obama says he's a "huge Clint Eastwood fan," even in the aftermath of the actor's rambling "invisible Obama" monologue at the GOP convention.

Obama says in an interview with USA Today released Sunday the Academy Award-winning Eastwood is "a great actor, and an even better director." But Obama was coy when asked if he was offended by the performance.

Eastwood talked with an imaginary Obama in an empty chair before Mitt Romney's speech at the GOP convention, saying the president has failed to deliver on his promises.

Obama says, quote, "if you're easily offended, you should probably choose another profession."

The president joked on Twitter after Eastwood's appearance, tweeting that "this seat's taken," along with a photo of him in his chair at a Cabinet meeting.

Just like Prez Truman said, "if can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen". You've got to love politic to be able to withstand all the goop thrown at you, or be thicked-skinned like an alligator, and just as vicious.

well, its nice that he did take the high road so all his supporters dont start with the "Eastwood is Racist" comments. I like Obama. I dislike his supporters who don't want people to think for themselves. Everyone who doesnt support Obama is a racist or an Uncle Tom.

After his Super Bowl commerical, when all the pundits speculated that Eastwood was endorsing Obama, Clint made it a point to come out and advise everyone that he wasn't "Obama's puppet". Apparenlty, he's Romney's puppet.

so then all those actors who supported Obama, Penn,Paltro, Johansen, Alba, Baldwin are his puppets. Whats the difference? None.

You tell me - first: did anyone speculate that all those people where Romney's puppet? Second: did any of those people make it a point to come out and respond that they weren't Romney's puppet?

The difference is, When it was all O'bama, it was all good and people like you didn't use the word "puppets" until some supported Romney.

I think a lot of people are disappointed in Obama's four years as president. No denying, he seems like a nice guy, but so far he hasn't done a thing to make me want to vote for him this November. He seems to always be criticizing law enforcement publicly in cases where black people are involved. Not at other times, why? Doesn't he care about the rest of us? Maybe a lot of people who voted for him last time feel the same way.
