Upscale Hawaii resort vacation rentals are part of a $255 million dollar deal announced Friday morning by New Jersey-based Wyndham Worldwide subsidiary Wyndham Vacation Ownership.

WVO has acquired the privately held Shell Vacations LLC and its subsidiaries.

Wyndham Vacation Ownership will take over property management operations at 19 Shell resort locations in Hawaii, California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Wisconsin, Texas, New Hampshire and Canada.

Wyndham also will now operate Shell Vacations Club, a points-based reservation and exchange system, as well as marketing, sales and financial services activities of Shell.

The Shell Vacations Club website shows Hawaii properties on Kauai, Oahu and Hawaii island.
