Willie Wood birdied the last two holes to defeat Bill Glasson by one shot to capture the inaugural $1.8 million Pacific Links Hawaii Championship today at Kapolei Golf Course.
Glasson led by as many as five shots early in the final round of this Champions Tour event, but Wood closed with a 6-under 66 to finish at 14-under 202 to ease past Glasson (72—203), who missed a par putt at the 18th from 10 feet that would have sent the golf tournament into a playoff.
First-round leader Peter Senior finished third with a final-round 69 for a 54-hole total of 12-under 204. Schwab Cup points leader Tom Lehman shot a 5-under 67 to finish in a tie for fourth with David Frost (69) at 11-under 205.
