Yep, every Senator who can will now show up, take a few pot shots at UH, do some grand standing for the constituents, and in the end - nothing will get done.

I wonder how much Olelo was "encouraged" by certain senators to televise their grandstanding. Our legislature is sad. Obviously a political stunt. Waste of time and money, again.

You people criticizing are a piece of work. I bet if they announced the hearings were going to be private behind closed doors you all would be screaming about that also. Transparency and open government help we the people determine who was at fault. If not for open hearings this whole fiasco would be swept under the rug and forgotten.....

The best part of it, the Senators and their staff gets . . . drumroll . . . EXTRA PAY for doing this "public service" for us! That's right kids, all these senators and staff will be billing all of us for this farce. And that is why the Legislature LOVES to do these pre-Session meetings. It's more money in their pockets, they get to grandstand, nothing to get done, they aren't held accountable to anyone or anybody for what is done in these meetings. So it's all GOOD for the senators and their staff. For us, it's just more money that we pay livin' in paradise! Gotta love it.

What nonsense. There is no extra pay. Do me a favor, and try to have a little information to back you up before you start spewing, okay?
