Kauai police, state DLNR officials remove illegal campsite in Hanapepe

Kauai police and state Department of Land and Natural Resources officials removed an illegal campsite Thursday on Puolo Road at Hanapepe Beach Park, according to a Kauai County news release.
The man living at the site was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug.
The investigation was the result of concerns raised by community members, the news release said. The campsite included two vehicles, an illegal structure and miscellaneous items.
