2 injured in lunch wagon crash

Two people were taken to the hospital in serious condition following an early morning traffic accident after the lunch wagon they were in ran off the road in Pearl City.

Police said the accident occurred on Komo Mai Drive just after 3 a.m. The driver of the lunch wagon apparently lost control of of the vehicle and crashed into the bushes off the side of the road, police said.

The driver, a 67-year-old man, and his passenger, a 57-year-old woman were taken to the hospital in serious condition.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
