A body surfer was seriously injured after collisions with surfboarders Wednesday night in the China Walls area in Portlock, a fire official said.

Fire Capt. Terry Seelig said when fire rescue personnel arrived, the man had climbed out in the cliff area, and he stated he had collisions with some surfboarders.

Emergency Medical Services received the call at 6:45 p.m.

EMS transported by ambulance a 36-year-old man in serious condition to the Queen’s Medical Center Wednesday evening after he was struck by two surfboards, according to an EMS supervisor and from EMS transmissions.

It does sound fishy to get hit by TWO surfers. Sounds like the surfers were "aiming" for the body surfer such as the two surfers sandwiching the body boarder between them on a single wave and then both surfers simultaneously drove their boards into the body surfer. Race and/or cutting off other fellow riders involved?

It wasn't surfers who hit him, it was surfboarders.

This wasn't a hit and run was it?... because surfers would never do that... not in the water and not on the streets and roads...
