I love how Jim’s phone is ringing off the hook during his testimony. Friends are probably watching this live stream and calling him to “get the h—l out of there!”

Eric Martinson, Chairman of the BOR appears to be the main culprit. I have new found respect for Sen Mercado Kim. She asks all the right questions for SIX hours without antagonizing the witnesses. She did her homework and came loaded for bear!

My o'kole would be sore if she was interrogating me. She was tearing everyone a new one.

Donna Kim has been unfairly accused of being vile and vindictive. I have attended hearings where she has grilled government officials trying to pin them down and left very impressed with the methodical approach she takes, not accepting the evasions we "polite" people would fall for, in her pursuit of answers.

I have talked with witnesses afterwards who thought she had been rough with them and had to tell them they actually got off easy, as I have seen what she is capable of. I would not like to be grilled by her. But when hundreds of thousands of state dollars are at stake, I prefer Kim handle the investigation than a less formidable senator. I also think she benefits from having Les Ihara working with her, another methodical senator. And Sam Slom, while less focused, can sometimes demonstrate the committee's concerns have bi-partisan support.

I say again Tokuda needs a lesson on how to ask a direct question. She rambles on and on.

OMG Kim, Apple said, he only knew of UH getting in contact with FBI. He is not Greenwood who you asked that question to about HPD so why ask Mr. Apple that? Move on!

Senator Tokuda should be asking questions more than lecturing! This is an inquiry not a teaching session.
