A University of Hawaii-Manoa student said she was sexually assaulted repeatedly Saturday night in a campus apartment.

The student made the report Wednesday to campus security after she had informed her mother earlier, UH campus security reported.

UH issued a security alert on Wednesday regarding the alleged sexual assault involving a student victim and more than one suspect.

Wayne Ogino, UH Chief of Campus Security, said the first male suspect reportedly raped her in a dorm room and then other males assaulted her later. She did not report the number of attackers to campus security.

The student was reluctant to report the sexual assaults, and provided vague details.

How does this even directly affect you? The cllasses have not changed or been cut, you don't play on the football team and you weren't the one assaulted. Explain to me how "you" need help, besides the obvious?

No, this kind of thing happened several times before. If it happened on Saturday, why only report it on Wednesday? Most of the evidence gone already. Probably washed her clothes and cleaned the room. And, I'm guessing she didn't get examined at a hospital with a rape kit. There was the evidence. She's reluctant to report the assault and gave vague details. If she let them in her room, I'm sure she either knows them or can identify them. I hope they catch these perps, but, it sounds like it's too late.

UH Manoa never learns. With all the assaults, burglaries, etc., on campus, still no more enough cameras. They think Security can handle? No way. If there were cameras at each entrance to buildings, in and out, it would probably deter people from even thinking of doing anything. No cameras, it's game on...

Man I feel for this girl and I hope she can find some way to put this behind her. This kind of thing should never happen, but I wish she had come forward earlier. I'm glad she finally did come forward, but trying to prove these bastards guilty will be difficult now....
