Police arrested a 39-year-old Manoa man for allegedly abusing his 24-year-old wife by driving with her inside the car toward oncoming traffic early this morning in Kaimuki.

Police said the man was arguing with his wife while he was driving his car at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday. He then allegedly grabbed her neck, drove toward oncoming traffic and ended up hitting several street signs.

Police arrested the man on suspicion of abuse of a family member and first-degree criminal property damage.
