Homeless man arrested for allegedly breaking into cars

A 28-year-old homeless man is in custody after he allegedly broke into two parked cars in Wahiawa by knocking out their windows during a brief crime spree early Sunday morning.

Police were sent to the area of Lehua and California Avenue at 1:25 a.m. after there were reports of a man breaking the windows of two parked cars.

Police officers caught the suspect breaking out the rear window of a vehicle. The suspect fled, but was later apprehended and booked on two counts of suspicion of unauthorized entry into a vehicle.
