A 33-year-old Moiliili man is in custody after he allegedly choked his estranged wife during a fight and threatened her with a shotgun Thursday morning, according to police.

Police said the 34-year-old victim left their home after the confrontation and called authorities.

Police arrested the man on suspicion of felony abuse of a family member, first-degree terroristic threatening and intimidating a witness.

The Specialized Services Division was called in to assist in making the arrest at 2 p.m. at the couple's Varsity Circle home.
