Halawa man is injured fighting off robbers

A 25-year-old Halawa man was treated at a local hospital after he was hurt during a struggle late Monday night with three men who tried to rob him, according to police.

The victim told police he was walking to his home at 10:30 p.m. when he was confronted by three men. One of the suspects brandished a weapon, the victim told police.

The victim got into a struggle when he resisted the robbers’ demands.

He was taken to a local hospital and treated.
