Ex-Philippine leader pleads not guilty to plunder

MANILA, Philippines >> A Philippine court has entered a not-guilty plea for former Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on charges she misused $8.8 million in state lottery funds in a third corruption case against her.

Arroyo is suffering from a neck ailment and police brought her to the anti-graft court Monday from a military hospital. She was admitted days before the court served the arrest warrant against her on plunder charges early this month and ordered her confined under guard.

She refused to enter a plea and prompted the judge to record not guilty on her behalf. If found guilty, she could face a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.

Arroyo finished her nine-year term in 2010. She is separately charged with vote fraud and in another corruption case.

Republic of the Philippines President's stealing from their Own Country? Say it isn't so!!! That cannot be true!!! This is an Isolated Incident, Right? YEAH RIGHT!!!! The Philippines is like the overseas version of Honolulu, Hawaii. Smiling, Promises, Laughing, and TOTAL INEPTNESS, INCOMPETENCE, EVIL!!! Is there any mystery as to why it is so difficult for Pilipinos to leave their own country, and seek a better life elsewhere? Specifically, the U.S.? Backwards Country, Backwards Leadership, correction Zero Leadership. Criminals illegally elected to lead a Country that is Clueless as to how to take charge of their Destiny. PITIFUL all across the board.

The accused former President of the Philippines will be found not guilty, and she will be spotted shopping in New York City, Los Angeles, and Miami spending the dollars of her country's people. Living the high life right next to Imelda Marcos. Amazing. Totally and Unbelievably typical of the Philippines. Don't have to look too far from the Tree to find Pilipinos here in Hawaii, running for office with the same Agenda, Lie, Cheat, Steal, and abuse the American Judicial, Political, and Economic system to serve their own Asinine purposes. Wake up Hawaii, look at your District Representatives, they are taking over your neighborhodds, smiling, Grinning, and stealing your future right in front of your eyes. Your former Govenor, now running for Mayor. Illegal aliens from the Philippines are and have been right amongst you.
